DevCon 2011 Roundup

Post date: Aug 16, 2011 12:15:19 AM

The FileMaker Developer Conference was the most concentrated professional development event I've attended in years and was a great opportunity to learn and to bring information back to our campus.

In the higher education in-house developer discussion session I facilitated, there were FileMaker developers from De Anza College, UCSF, UC Irvine, Cornell, MIT, UT Austin, Texas A&M, Baylor, Duquesne, Drexel, Nebraska, Washington, Australia, and more.

Below is a FileMaker database link to all the sessions that were available:

(Due to current Google App bugs, you might have to copy and paste this URL directly into your browser's address field.)

You can click on each session in the list for a more detailed description. Every session I marked "Favorite" is a session I can tell you about from my notes, and most of the other sessions I can tell you about from the notes and sample files they gave me at the conference. Although recordings of the sessions were not allowed, a couple of the speakers recreated their sessions and posted those recordings online. So, if you have any questions about any of the session topics, please let me know, and I'll share what I can.

Also, Thu, August 25, 2011, 7:00 PM,

in Santa Clara, there will be a DIGFM user group meeting where other local attendees also will be sharing (over pizza) what they learned at the conference. See the links below for more information and to RSVP:
